Hello there, and welcome!
If you had told me years ago that I'd spend my days bringing stories to life in a recording booth, I would have smiled and said, "That sounds like a dream." Today, it's my reality. My journey to becoming a professional narrator wasn't a straight line, but looking back, many chapters of my life were preparing me for this.
At my core, I am a lover of stories, a communicator, and someone who believes that the right voice can turn a page of text into an unforgettable experience.
A Lifetime in Love with Words
My love affair with literature started early. Very early, in fact! I learned to read by the age of five, and during much of my childhood, if I wasn't climbing trees or playing outside, I was often happily lost in the pages of children's adventure novels or science books. I still remember the joy I felt the day my parents acquired a complete set of the 26-volume Compton's Encyclopedia. I also have to admit that (besides cartoons) my favourite thing to watch back then was nature and science documentaries, and I recall admiring the narrators of those well-put-together presentations that could capture and hold a child's attention. That passion didn't go unnoticed; throughout primary school, I accumulated a small mountain of reading awards and certificates.
As I grew, so did my appetite for the written word. This lifelong obsession naturally led me to pursue a Diploma in World Literature in English after high school, where I immersed myself in the structures, rhythms, and cultural depths of global storytelling. I did make a brief detour into the world of Engineering, in an attempt to meet the expectations of my parents and teachers and following the advice to follow my natural academic aptitudes, but it turned out to be a poor fit for me in practice, as I was always more drawn to the written word.
And if there was ever any doubt about where my path would lead, the universe sealed my fate when I fell head-over-heels for a wonderful girl who worked in a library at the time, and later, a bookstore. I married her, and to this day, books remain a firm part of the bedrock of our lives together.
Bedtime Stories: My Ultimate Training Ground
Together, my wife and I had five beautiful children. As any parent of a large family knows, evenings can be chaotic — but bedtime was sacred. Reading bedtime stories to our five kids when they were young quickly became the absolute highlight of my day.
This was my unofficial voice-over academy. I didn't just read the words on the page; I lived them. I gave every rabbit, rat, mouse, and monster their own distinct voice, accent, and personality.
My children were the most wonderfully demanding directors I've ever worked with. If I meted out a voice for a character on Tuesday and changed the pitch or tempo even slightly on Wednesday, they'd immediately pipe up: "Hey! That's not how the grumpy giant sounded yesterday!"
They taught me my most valuable professional lesson: the vital importance of vocal consistency, stamina, and narrative integrity.
What I Bring to Your Project
Today, I'm proud to say I am a professional narrator.
Every script I read benefits from the sum of my experiences. Whether I'm narrating a fast-paced thriller, a warm children's book, a complex business biography (where my background in finance and entrepreneurship comes in handy!), or a deep-dive documentary, I bring a unique blend of professionalism, life experience, and heartfelt warmth to the table.
When you work with me, you're not just getting a voice. You're getting a collaborator who respects the copy, understands the target audience, and knows how to keep listeners hanging on every word — just like five sleepy kids waiting to see what happens on the next page.
Let's tell your story together. Feel free to reach out, and let's discuss how we can bring your characters and words to life!
